Human: If you want to carry more tools with your Wave, consider my Modular Leatherman Wave holster instead. I've designed a holsters that lets you customize how you wear it, making access easy while seated or on the go. Objects included in this Thing Modular Leatherman Wave holster (base model).stl Right side carrying: The Modular Leatherman Wave holster (right side carry) tilts 30° forward when worn on your right, and 30° backward when worn on your left. Left side carrying: The Modular Leatherman Wave holster (left side carry) tilts 30° forward when worn on your left, and 30° backward when worn on your right. Horizontal belt hole version: The Modular Leatherman Wave holster (horizontal belt hole) doesn't tilt. I made this holster to fit my needs, with some significant changes from CaptCanadaMan's original design. CaptCanadaMan made a clever change to Adam Savage's Leatherman Wave holster by using an angled belt loop; this allows you to access your Wave more easily even while driving! However, the large rectangular block on the back was hard to wear and had support issues when printed. I fixed these problems by: Shortening and rounding off the top of the holster Making the belt loop self-supporting with a 30° slope Tapering the top of the belt loop for a smooth fit against your waist Adding two cutouts in the base to accommodate a pull-out lanyard port I also reduced the amount of slop inside, so you can securely store your Wave. The back of the holster now has ridges that create a snugger fit - these will eventually wear down and match your tool. Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 30% Notes: - Print this thing vertically as designed. - Consider printing a brim for stability at higher print speeds. Post-Printing After wearing, it's wise to smooth the edges and corners with a deburring tool or craft knife. Version History December 28, 2017 - Belts up to 45mm are now supported.
