Combustion Liner Display and Repair
grabcad
A display showcasing a combustion liner (GE Frame 7 or 9) along with a cap cowl removal tool has been developed. The cap cowl is fitted with a sized rib, making removal difficult; however, the tool simplifies the process after drilling out welded rivnuts. Additionally, fixturing locates thimble modules that distribute air during liner life for feeding air and gas. This design benefits those repairing liners in aftermarket situations. The step file is comprehensive but large, while the *.rar file contains a compressed version of the step file. A flat layout of the liner is displayed on an easel. This assembly was designed for a dear friend who taught these skills.
