The remnants of a long-abandoned water wheel pit are visible at the Combs Wood mines, situated just off the scenic Rail Trail that winds its way near Beck Hole. The site has been meticulously preserved in recent times by the concerted efforts of Nigel Copsey and Phil Naylor.
