Combined Lead Screw Bracket and Bed Mount
thingiverse
I encountered a problem with the motor mounts for the Z-axis; they couldn't slide out far enough to line up with the lead-screws. Since I'm building the 300x300 version, I wanted to utilize the middle-of-the-bed heatbed mounting points along the side too. This meant I couldn't simply flip the Z-axis bed supports from the inside to the outside of the O & P rails. Some people have resolved this by cutting a notch in either the 2x1 plate or the motor mount itself, but I didn't want to compromise the strength of these parts. To address this issue, I designed a combined bed mount and motor mount that can be used in place of a middle bed mount for those seeking such an arrangement. All measurements for the bed support remain unchanged: - 34mm hole, 34 mm from the edge, 118 mm deep for the screw - 30mm x 60mm x 90mm rectangular hole for the nut The lead screw mount is identical, with one notable exception: it's 3/16 thicker. The counter-sunk screw holes are positioned at the same distance from the rail as before, allowing the use of the same screws.
