Combined BMG Extruder for Prusa I3 MK3
thingiverse
Production Release on an all-in-one BMG Extruder for the Prusa MK3. This mod was designed as a simpler solution to https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3165551, aimed at reducing inconsistent extrusion issues. This part has two main components: the Main Body and the Top Cover. This design makes assembly and disassembly easier. To complete this build, you will need: 1. One Pancake Stepper Motor with a minimum of 16N torque; I am using a MOONS MS17HD5P4100. 2. Two 5x8x2.5 Bearings 3. One 1.75 / 5.0 Bondtech Drivergear kit (or use the ones that come with your MK3) 4. One Shaft Assembly 5. One Motor Gear 6. One 3x32 mm Shaft 7. One PTFE Tube, 68mm in length Links for Official Parts from BONDTECH: [Drivegear Kit](https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/drivegear-kits/) - $27.00 [Motor Gear](https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/motor-gear/) - $6.50 [Shaft Assembly](https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/shaft-assembly/) - $4.00 [3 x 32mm Shaft](https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/shafts/) - $1.20 [Bearings 5x8x2.5mm](https://www.bondtech.se/en/product/ballbearing-5x8x2-5/) - $1.50 each, two required Total Cost: $40.20 Once assembled, you will need to adjust the number of E-Steps on your printer. To do this: 1. Connect your printer to your computer. 2. Load up Pronterface. 3. Type M92 E830 in the command box (Set Axis Steps-per-unit). 4. Type M500 in the command box (Store current settings in EEPROM). All done. No firmware mod required; it's that simple.
