Combination lock for swinging door
thingiverse
A combination lock for a swinging door provides robust security through three precision-crafted wheels, each featuring 6 numbered positions. The device measures approximately 100m x 50mm x 30mm. Internal springs are cleverly designed to ensure effortless self-alignment of the numbers. To select your desired combination, simply choose the corresponding "CL_wheel#.STL" model. A blank wheel is also included for added flexibility. For the 4-digit version, you'll need just two essential parts: CL_cylinder_4digits and CL_frame_m1_4digits. This combination lock was created as a special gift for a child - a private pirate chest. The design offers a fun and exciting way to store treasures. Print Settings Please ensure proper print orientation is selected, as manual support may be required for some files. Post-Printing Instructions Carefully remove any excess material from the assembly. Next, push each of the internal springs in the wheels outward to free them. Place the first wheel onto the cylinder and press the second pin into its designated hole. Subsequently, place the second wheel onto the cylinder, insert the third pin into its corresponding hole, followed by placing the third wheel onto the cylinder. Finally, assemble the entire unit into the frame, securing it with super glue to ensure a sturdy hold. Once the screws are in place, you can add rivets to conceal them, completing your secure combination lock.
