<p>Ever wanted to make your very own combination lock? Now you can, just print this quick print and you will have your very own 100% printed combination lock!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p><strong>Disclaimer:<br/> This lock should <em>not</em> be used for high security applications due to it being very weak and easy to break.</strong></p> <p><strong>Print Settings</strong></p> <p><code>Infill: 15% Gyroid</code></p> <p><code>Layers: 0.15mm</code></p> <p><code>Material: PLA or PETG</code></p> <p><strong>Print These Parts:</strong></p> <p><em>x3 dial-inner.stl</em><br/> <em>x3 dial-outer.stl</em><br/> <em>x1 shacklecap.stl</em> <strong>(OPTIONAL)</strong><br/> <em>x1 shackle.stl</em><br/> <em>x1 body.stl</em></p> <p>OR</p> <p><em>x1 combination-lock.3mf</em></p> <p><strong>Assembly:</strong></p> <p><em>Note: You may want to colour code the symbols on the dials if your printer is not printing the shapes accurately or you are having trouble reading them.</em></p> <p><strong>Step 1:</strong> Place the x3 dial inners into the dial outers, make sure that the side with only one dip going all the way through is facing up. Make the small hole in the dial inner point to the combination that you want.</p> <p><strong>(OPTIONAL)<br/> Step 2:</strong> Place the shackle cap onto the shackle and push shackle into the body all the way, check orientation, the filleted side should be facing up and the flat side facing towards the centre of the lock, there should be no overhangs from the shackle cap to the body. Then glue the shackle cap in place and remove the shackle from the body.</p> <p><strong>Step 3:</strong> Place the complete dials into the slots in the body, and insert the shackle with the cap into the body, twist the dials from top to bottom until the shackle drops to the bottom.</p> <p><strong>Unlocking:</strong></p> <p><strong>Step 1:</strong> Line up the symbols on the dials with the notch in the side of the body, make sure that they are the symbols that you selected when assembling and that they are in the correct order.</p> <p><strong>Step 2:</strong> Pull on the shackle until it comes out, do not use excessive force or you may break it, it it is not coming out, try jiggling the shackle and check the combination on the dials.</p>
