Introducing an innovative fastener/connector design that necessitates 3D printing for production. Comprising steel for the bolt body, copper for the connector pins, and insulating nylon for separation, this design could be ideal for direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). Designed for vacuum or pressure vessels with minimal leakage points, it integrates a strong fastener for clamping vessel parts together and provides an electrical pathway for monitoring equipment or actuators. The fastener's potential applications extend to the aerospace and automotive industries due to its lean design that combines structural members and electrical connectors. The hex head bolt features reduced diameter extensions for attaching screw-on electrical connectors, while isometric views with and without connectors and simulated plates offer visualizations of fastened bodies. Cross sections illustrate the materials' orientation, resembling a standard wire impregnated in a bolt. Standard washers, nuts, and hardware can accompany this bolt.
