Column of the open temple of the Virgin of Sorrows in the city of Ronda, Malaga Province, constructed in 1734. The temple is famous for the Chapel of the Executed or of the Hanged due to its unique columns. These Ionic order columns feature two anthropomorphic and two zoomorphic figures on their shafts, with arms and wings wrapped tightly together and a rope encircling their necks.
