This is a superior section of a pillar unearthed within the temple compound of King Merenptah, circa 1213-1203 BC. Yet, the design of this pillar unmistakably indicates its origin from a non-royal tomb chapel dating back to Dynasty 5 or 6, specifically in the ancient kingdom burial grounds at Saqqara or Abusir.
