Columbia Mission Boat 3D model
cgtrader
The Columbia III Mission Boat model replicates a historic British Columbia ship built in 1956. Designed by marine architect Robert Allen, the original vessel was 68 feet long and had a steel-plated wooden hull for protection against ice and floating logs. The boat served as a coastal mission ship providing communication and assistance to remote communities within British Columbia, including farmers, logging camps, hunters, and isolated lumberjacks. Some models even featured a chapel, doctor/dentist, and nurse. Retired from active service, the reproduced version is now used for leisurely sport cruises. The model includes named parts for easy assembly and uses textures sourced from cgtextures, with a compressed file size of less than 17 MB. It has been manually created in both 3DS Max and Blender, with automatic conversions to OBJ, X3D, and WRL formats.
