The Colt Police Positive is chambered for .38 S&W cartridges and manufactured between 1907 and 1947. The firearm has become an antique, and the chance of finding one in decent shape is remote. My own Colt Police Positive's bakelite grips were cracked and falling apart. I managed to capture their image using a handheld scanner and used it as a model to create new grips via computer design software.
