The Colt Model M1911, an iconic 20th-century small arms design, is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed pistol with a .45 ACP cartridge. Created by John M. Browning for Colt Firearms Company and redrawn by Rio Benson, it was modeled in SolidWorks 2012 based on the drawings of the Government Model M1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol. Featuring a knurled grip, 7-round capacity, fixed sights, grip safety, single-action trigger, steel material with a finish, and weighing 2.49 pounds, it has a 5-inch barrel, measures 8.5 inches in length and 5.25 inches in height. In service since 1911, the Model M1911 is used by 28 nations and can also accommodate .38 Super caliber.
