Colt 1911 Water Pistol
thingiverse
I need to salvage the components from another water pistol. I purchased a couple of low-cost water pistols on Amazon, manufactured by Schramm 17cm, EAN CODE: 4260414762789. Technically, you'll have to use the internals of two, due to the plastic pipe being too short. This can be easily resolved if you have some 3mm plastic tubing handy (most people don't!). I'm sure most affordable pistols utilize the same internal components. I printed this part on an Ender 3 using PLA, with a nozzle temperature of 200 degrees Celsius and a printer bed temperature of 55 degrees Celsius. It was sliced in Cura using standard settings, but I couldn't utilize a skirt or brim because it only fit the bed just. I used the experimental "tree" supports, which worked fantastically. Make sure your nozzle height and bed adhesion are optimal to prevent warping or the part detaching. The print time was 10 hours per side, and 55 minutes for the trigger and internal components. The internal parts include: 6x dowel couplers 1x extender for the pump 1x joiner for the 3mm water pipe You'll need to cut off the end of the original water pistol's trigger and glue on a new trigger to the trigger post. Measure, cut, and connect the water pipe to match the barrel end. Super Glue or epoxy the water pump in place. Insert a standard 5mm plug into the left body (where you fill with water). Place joiners over the dowels (glue if the fit is too loose - mine was fine and accommodated some droop of the dowels that occurred during printing). Secure both sides together using epoxy and clamps.
