Colostomy Device
thingiverse
Device to attach to an "innie" type of colostomy. I designed this as a budget-friendly and temporary solution due to issues with my current device ordering process. You will need: Plastic bag (I use zip-lock sandwich bags for their slightly thicker material). A rubber band or long twist-tie to hold the bag in place. Standard foam mounting tape, though use at your own risk. It sticks well on some skin types, but may cause irritation, and testing a small piece before using it extensively is recommended. Instructions: Mount two strips of foam tape along the sides of the device. Apply one long strip at the bottom. Fill any remaining areas with smaller strips as needed, aiming to place them closely together. Securely fasten the plastic bag over the device's vent tube and stick the device in place using a rubber band or twist-tie. Keep the vent tube positioned upward for optimal results. If smell concerns you, block it temporarily using a toothpick or nail for added peace of mind.
