COLORSCADE LED Bubbler Replacement
thingiverse
I added the led lights to the COLORSCADE LED Bubbler Replacement. Seal with silicone and epoxy works like a charm. / 4/6 I added a revision with more lights. I allowed space for some clear glow-in-the-dark epoxy to cover the top. 1. Turn off the breaker to the pool lights. Reuse the existing wiring from the non-functioning bubbler. You will need to attach a pull line to the connection box end. Clip the end as close to the light as possible. There is zero chance of repairing it so don't worry about cutting so close to the light. Do not strip too much of the wire you only need 1/4 inch visible to attach to the connector. Keep as much of the large casing intact as you can. 2. Order the following parts a. Place the lights on the top and seal with superglue to hold the seal for epoxy. 5. Epoxy the top with clear or glow-in-the-dark epoxy. 6. Place plug receptacle and converter in 3d printed base and soder/wire unit. (if you order the lights above, the black is positive, and the white is negative). 7. Test the unit to ensure it is functioning. 8. Drill a second hole in the base. This will be used to pour the epoxy in. 9. Place a small bead of silicone around the cover groove. 10 Seal top to base and allow to dry. If there are any gaps, have superglue ready to seal any leaks. 11. Pour the epoxy in the hole until it is flush with the hole. 12. The spacer is needed to prevent the water feature from pushing water into the electrical line. The spacer will connect to the fountain base with 3m metric stainless bolts (not screws). The new base top will connect to the spacer with stainless screws. Notes: a. It is important to pour epoxy on the top of the led as they are not waterproof as they state. b. Will I get electrocuted? The reality is the non-functioning light already has water in it, and you are not dead. Besides its very low voltage. c. Yes, I have an alternate replacement solution to the colorscade Pentair lights. You can message me, and I will tell you how to replace them for less than $25.00 (colorscade lights are $300.00+ for replacement.)
