The middle ring was moved up, and the outer key rib is now flush with the main section of the "C". Untested and unprinted, it's likely to have a few more iterations in the upcoming weeks. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Infill: 65 Notes: The infill doesn't need to be 65%, but it's certainly not going to work if it's as low as 10%. The raft is technically optional, but given there's supports needed for the raised center ring, it helps. How I Designed This The Story About a year ago, my cousin found out I had access to a 3D printer and asked me if I could print him a Colorado Flag "C" bottle opener. I said I could, but his design was laid out in a way that the shim would break by use three. A few days ago, I came across the awesome work of br3ttb and his coin-op bottle opener concept. (You can find it here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:11025) I had some downtime at work, so I took the idea and ran with it. Designed the first version and promptly had it break due to low infill. So I thinned it down and increased the fill, and after two iterations and some frustration, I got a working model. This file is the third version after I realized the rib for the key ring would break with minor pressure otherwise. Nick's original design concept was very inspiring.
