Welcome to Light Painting! Light painting is a blast when using your camera in bulb mode at night. Place your camera on a tripod, securing it firmly to an object in the dark. As the camera remains open, you're free to move any light source within the frame. Since it's pitch black and you're moving, your body won't appear in the picture. This allows you to paint with light. With this tool, you can create a vibrant light source for illuminating rooms or objects. You'll find three buttons on the device: one for setting a RGB base color. A Start button turns the light on or off. The brightness button enables you to adjust the intensity of your lighting or effects. Long pressing this button switches it into a toggle mode, requiring you to hold down the Start button while illuminating. All settings are displayed in an easy-to-use menu through the LEDs. You can choose from various animations using the animation button: Simple Color, Rainbow Cycling (Solid or Dynamic), Fade Out your chosen color, or Strobe Flashes. The pistol is incredibly bright, and its wide angle of illumination makes it perfect for capturing stunning effects. To ensure better control over setting color points in your scene, I've added a snooze feature to this pistol, which you can opt out of if needed. You can purchase NeoPixel-like rings on eBay, featuring four sizes connected to a single circuit board. Typically, these are broken into separate rings, but here they're designed to be soldered together with just the pins connecting them – start from the inner ring and move outward in sequence. The pistol comes equipped with a battery case for four AA batteries. You can hold it comfortably in one hand while using your other hand to operate the camera. This makes it perfect for capturing stunning light paintings on the go! At the heart of this innovative device is an Arduino Nano, which has been carefully soldered onto a board with switches and RGB LEDs. The source code for the Arduino comes bundled with this product.
