Color Maximite 2 Case (A.K.A. Colour Maximite 2)
thingiverse
The last time I checked there wasn't a case designed for the Color Maximite 2 so here ya go. The board is secured using 4 m2 x 4mm screws (with slightly larger heads) and two m2 x 8mm screws for the case top. Supports are not needed. The entire print time is estimated around 9-10 hours on my Monoprice Maker Select v2. My Color Maximite 2 did not have a power switch. The leads on the board were soldered closed. So, I have some small switches that I have not yet installed. Here's a link on eBay for the ones I have... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-20pcs-5V-0-3A-SS12F32-Mini-SPDT-Slide-Switch-for-Small-DIY-Power-AD-n-j/363061216506 Since my CMM2 did not have the power switch I could not design a hole for it. I could make a 2nd front panel with a rough oversized opening if anyone wants one.
UPDATE:
I modified the case to reduce the gaps on the front and rear so all ports are closer to the openings. I also removed the air vents from the top and put them on the sides of the bottom part. This is so you can stick a small breadboard on top if so desired. Print support is not needed for any part and the original front & rear parts fit the updated case.
