In my 3D printer, the Z axis rod holds the X carriage and extruder/hotend suspended in air, supported only by two plastic clips. Thanks to this accessory, all weight is now off the ground! Assembly is easy, and all necessary parts are shown in the photos. If the bushing doesn't fit into its slot, simply heat it slightly to widen it as needed. Initially, I had inserted the wrong column file; the correct one was installed on 19/04/2014. The 3D model must be rotated 90 degrees on the X axis before generating G-code.
