Colonial Marines Motion Tracker M314 (Aliens) Ripley, Hicks
thingiverse
This is a replica of the Motion tracker used by the Colonial Marines and Ripley in the film Aliens. It's full-sized, designed to be used as a cosplay or display item. I have included PDF instruction manuals showing step-by-step assembly instructions and a separate PDF to print out screen and button graphics for fitting onto the finished Tracker. Enjoy! Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Replicator Dual Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: I have printed these files multiple times, making at least six full trackers. I recommend printing at your preferred settings and be prepared for some trial and error to achieve the best results. I designed this with a hollow body and hollow viewer screen, allowing you to install electronics inside for added functionality, just like the real one! The bottom cap can be removed to serve as a battery housing. Post-Printing Optional Extras The sling swivels used on finished trackers are Bisley-made, as shown in the PDF manual. However, I also designed plastic alternatives if you prefer this as a display item, which will work just fine for you. A stand is included so you can showcase your Tracker. Custom Section Additional things required: Glue of some sort Black cable wire (like from a mains cable) Thinner black wire (like from headphones) 3mm screws (refer to manual) Paint Printed graphics (see PDF), which I print on acetate for the best appearance Heat shrink tubing to match your cables
