This is a replica of the Motion tracker used by the Colonial Marines and Ripley in the film Aliens. It's full sized and is designed to be used as a cosplay or display item. I have included a PDF instruction manual which shows step-by-step how to assemble it, and a PDF to print out the screen and button graphics to fit the finished Tracker. ENJOY! Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Replicator Dual Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: I have printed all these and made at least 6 full trackers from these files. I would suggest printing at your favourite settings, and you may need a bit of trial and error to get them right. I have made this both from ABS and PLA and to be honest there's little difference, I think ABS can get you a nicer finish with less work. I did design this with a hollow body and hollow 'viewer screen', so if you're that way minded you can install electronics in it and make it beep and things like the real one! The bottom cap can be unscrewed to serve as a battery housing. Post-Printing Optional Extras The sling swivels I use on the finished ones are the Bisley make that are shown In the PDF manual. However, I also designed a set of plastic ones if you just want this as a display item, that will work fine for you. I've also included a stand so you can put the Tracker on display. Custom Section Additional things required! To make the tracker you'll need: Glue of some sort Black cable wire (like from a mains cable) Thinner black wire (like from headphones) 3mm screws (see manual) Paint Printed graphics (see PDF), I print them on acetate for the best look.
