This hexapod robot was inspired by the "Made in Colombia" project conceived by students from a high school in this country, showcasing their innovative spirit and ingenuity. This flat mechanism is designed to mimic the appearance of a legged animal, offering an alternative to traditional wheels for movement. Six "legs" propel the robot, providing stability and balance. Mobility is ensured by two motors that rotate in opposite directions, allowing it to move forward, backward or turn right or left with ease. Control is exercised remotely through infrared signals, enabling users to navigate the robot with precision. The logic behind its operation is managed by an Arduino UNO board, which processes commands and executes movements efficiently. The individual components were created using OpenSCAD software, then printed on a Creality CR-20 3D printer in high-quality PLA plastic.
