Collins Bus Window Slider

We're a community that tames old school buses, and you might stumble upon a broken little plastic finger latch on a window. Fortunately, there are shops that can source them for you, but come on, we're makers with 3D printers at our disposal! That's right, we create new ones ourselves! This design is modeled after the original one from my project, the 1991 Collins bus I'm refurbishing. It resembles the latch on Carpenter, Wayne, and Thomas buses almost identically. I've got two versions of this printable for you to choose from. The first is a replica of the original latch. However, I noticed that getting your fingers inside can be tough sometimes. To fix this issue, I created an extended finger tab version that's far easier to use. What's more, this enhanced model includes some internal supports to boost its strength. How It Was Created I dissected the existing latch from my Collins bus, took precise measurements using a micrometer, and used Tinkercad for the 3D modeling process.
