Collets for Tap Holder - easier to print + stronger
prusaprinters
Since the original collets break easily due to the way they are printed I came up with a design that is both easier to print and stronger. Currently there are only versions for a 3mm, 4mm and 5mm drill which I designed as a test in FreeCAD. I will try to add a customizable OpenSCAD version for this. Update 2019-04-17: added customizable OpenSCAD version - not tested yet though! If you print from the OpenSCAD version please comment if there are any problems. Note: the hex-collets probably should be printed using supports. Print Settings Printer: CTC Prusa i3 Reprap MK8 DIY Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 30% Filament: EFORINK PLA Blue Notes: Print the collets lying on the side with the gab vertical (as shown in the picture). Hex-collets probably should be printed using supports. Category: Hand Tools
