This is a custom telescope adapter designed specifically for smartphones. The adapter's collet sleeve is engineered to be securely attached to the back of a smartphone case, allowing the telescope eyepiece to be precisely positioned with the collet each time. The nut features four threads to facilitate swift and easy eyepiece changes, while the collet itself is crafted to fit most standard 1.25-inch telescope eyepieces. Print Settings Printer: XYZ Printing Pro 1.0 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: Printed in PLA at a speed of 40 mm/s, with no supports required during printing due to the small overhangs and adequate support from below. Post-Printing Smoothing: Post-processing may be necessary on the inner and outer surfaces of the collet, as well as on the inner tapered surface of the collet sleeve to ensure effective clamping of the eyepiece. Fine grit sandpaper proved to be an effective tool for this task. Without this step, the collet can only move one print layer at a time over the sleeve, potentially resulting in suboptimal clamping and eyepiece slippage.
