Collet Holder
thingiverse
This holder is perfect for keeping your CNC collets at your fingertips. It was my initial project with a ShopBot Desktop CNC Router, and you can easily 3D-print this. Instructions: You can either 3D print or manufacture this rack with a CNC router. I produced mine out of a dense pine board, using this task as my first hands-on experience with a ShopBot Desktop CNC router. I utilized three distinct tools/bits and carried out a total of three tool changes in its creation: First, I machined the inside pockets and the upper portion of the perimeter cut using a 1/4" flat endmill. Then, I drilled the mounting holes (centered within four of the collet holes) with a #30 drill. As I performed the tool change, I secured the part down using pan-head wood screws through the #30 holes I had just drilled. Next, I swapped out to a 1/8" roundover mill to smooth the edges. Finally, I changed back to the 1/4" flat endmill to complete the lower portion of the perimeter cut.
