A Customized Rotary Tumbler Remix by Colleone. These are the modifications: 1. A base made from 3D printed material is used instead of a wooden plate. 2. The box for the motor and electronics is longer and higher to accommodate additional components. 3. An Arduino-based digital motor controller allows users to set motor speed and duration with precision. 4. The 3D printed parts are designed to fit within smaller printer print volumes. Parts Needed: Follow the original part list to build the tumbler, and for the digital controller: 12V DC Power Supply - 2A Resistors: 2X470 ohm, 1K ohm, 330 ohm 100 uf Capacitor Arduino Pro Micro (5V compatible) 7805 Voltage Regulator LM317T Voltage Regulator LM741 Op-Amp 1.5 A Fuse and Fuse Holder 4-Digit 7-Segment Display Push-Button Switch Simple Relay Prototype Board Wires Connectors The Digital Potentiometer Principle: The Arduino generates a PWM signal that feeds an RC circuit, which regulates the output voltage of the LM317 to power the motor. This principle is based on the circuit at https://forum.allaboutcircuits.com/threads/lm-317-with-digital-potentiometer.117423/, modified with an RC and PWM instead of RV1. Follow the Fritzing diagram when building and testing the circuit, paying attention to the connectors for the LM317 and 7805, which may differ from the diagram. Adjust the speed factor in the Arduino code if a different motor is used. Video: https://youtu.be/RDJB3YbSjZ4
