thingiverse
Chassis files for the One Robot Per Child robot (CollegeBot.) You can find more about the project at our Kickstarter page at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mniksch/one-robot-per-child For full instructions on how to assemble all the parts needed to create the robot (about $60-85 total) go to the project site at http://robots.collegebot.org (this site also has a curriculum for using this robot to teach engineering in schools.) (Edit: the project site is down, but you can find build instructions here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ojsrl2sy7p655em/AADTLcoPWmdQUoyF0iWeeq-ea?dl=0 Instructions There are a total of 9 3D printed parts required for making the robot. (These are shown in the second picture.) I've uploaded two versions--one for Makerbot (these all have the word "short" in the title) and one for Slic3r and probably most other slicers. This is because most of the parts are designed to be exactly 6mm tall and Makerbot seems to "round up" to add one extra layer when it slices, making the pieces too tall. All pieces were printed at 0.3mm layer height and 15% infill, except for the 3 head pieces, which I found worked better at 0.2mm layer height. OpenSCAD files for both the regular and Makerbot "short" files are provided for all parts.
