Collector's Dice Box - Kraken 12pc Set

This is a two piece box designed to hold a 12pc Kraken Dice set. While the two halves come together, they do not friction fit and will need a total of four 8x3mm magnets to keep the lid shut. The grooved magnet spots should keep the box from sliding apart. The magnet wells should be just big enough to fit the magnet and glue it in place. The Bottom.stl has 11 wells, with the middle well holding both the D4 and D2. The bigger hex on the side is for the D12. The rest of the dice should fit loose, but not rattle too bad. The Top.stl has hexagon posts that help prevent the dice from rattling too much while inside. The thickness of the top and bottom layer is 1mm, allowing you to use a clear or transparent filament for the first layers. This will let you see the dice without opening the case, but be thick enough to be sturdy. Extra parts needed for this project are: 4x - 8x3mm Magnets (Two for each piece) I printed this with a .6mm Nozzle, at 30% infil. No supports. **Design Features** - This case is designed to be a bit oversized, as Kraken dice are just a bit bigger than most other brands. this model shouldn't have to be scaled in either way in order to fit ANY Kraken 12pc set. Other sets of dice will more than likely fit, with extra room to spare. - The two pieces are designed to be asymmetrical, so there is only one way the top will fit to the bottom. This is due to the posts on the top being different sizes, requiring it to be put into position only one way. - It is a box shape to help with stacking and organizing on a shelf. My intent is to store them on its side on a shelf like you would a book. **About the design -** The box pictured is a wood hybrid filament (30% Rosewood). The other box pictured shows the clear bottom to see what is inside. This "Hex" design is inspired by another dice box I had come across, but that box was too small for my purpose and used more filament than I would like (I have about 40 of these to make!). I built this one from the ground up to be a bit larger, lighter weight, and see through with clear filament for the first layers. In its current state it is printable and practical, but can use some extra care in aesthetic and design features. I have not drop tested this model. **UPDATE - 1.3.2022** Both Top.stl and Bottom.stl have been updated. Top.stl - Added a post for the d12 to help prevent rattling. - Added a hexagon in the middle with a well for the d4. The d4 wouldn't stay put, but is now secure. - Realigned the posts to better match the wells. Bottom.stl - The hexagons for the d6 were made to be .5mm bigger. I found some of the d6 to be a bit too large, and fit tight. The die is no longer fixed in place and may have some spin in the case which may cause more rattling, but will guarantee all the sets fit the case without scaling the model up.
