Collection de Volcans / Volcano collection
thingiverse
By trying to prove that 3D printing is useful to a geologist friend passionate about volcanoes by explaining that it can be used to print topographic maps, I found myself printing an entire collection of volcanoes using NASA's data. To generate your own terrains in 3D: http://jthatch.com/Terrain2STL/ To make the models more interesting, I sometimes had to increase the Z proportion without touching the other axes. File names: [volcano name] [X% x Y% x Z%] [model size] [hook slot location] For some of them, I don't remember the Z ratio used. I also added the base model with hook slots for printing without supports.
