Collapsing Pirate Sword (Print In Place)

This is a collapsing sword designed to be printed as one part. Its only 140mm high when printed but expands to over 860mm in total length!

Check out the Background video on youtube!!!

The sword is designed to be printed with a ,4mm nozzle, so the blade will be two shells thick. I had weird issues with blobs and zits at retraction which I normally don't have until I turned on "wipe" and "coast", I'm still using S3D.

I think this is a result of the thin walls with a narrow amount of clearance between the blade segments. I had good luck with .15mm coast and 3mm wipe, on my MK3.

Included is a test print file. Use this to confirm that your segments don't stick together and that you have a thickness .85mm.

Detailed printing instructions can be found on my website.

Here's a link to the silver and pink filament I used to make the sword.

If you want to throw a little support my way consider using my amazon affiliate link.

Support and Licensing
If you would like to help support more free models, or get permission to sell physical copies of my models, consider joining my Patreon.
