#Collapsing one piece Lightsaber This collapsing Lightsaber is a single-part design that prints as one unit, standing at an impressive 205mm in height when printed, but expanding to over 950mm in total length! As it expands, the layer lines rub together, producing a really cool noise that often takes people by surprise. The Lightsaber was designed specifically for printing with a 0.4mm nozzle, resulting in a blade that is two shells thick. I encountered some unusual issues with blobs and zits at retraction, which are typically not a problem for me. However, turning on "wipe" and "coast" resolved the issue, likely due to the thin walls and narrow clearance between the blade segments. Every printer is unique, but I found success with 0.15mm coast and 3mm wipe settings on my MK3. I've included a blank template of the lightsaber in STL and STP file formats, allowing you to create your own designs! Please feel free to post a remix so I can join in on the fun too! There's an additional file named "test print" that you should try printing first. If it works smoothly, you shouldn't encounter any issues. However, if it fuses together, consider adjusting your coast, wipe, or extrusion multiplier settings.
