Collapsible Viking sword V2
prusaprinters
I loved the Viking sword by @samsve_195241 and I found that there were no good collapsible Viking swords, so I took the blades from a previous sword project that I did and added them to this sword! The dimensions are slightly different because I had to change them a little bit to fit the blades, but other then that it is the same handle and pommel!I recommend to print each blade with 0.7 Layer width and in vase mode, If printed correctly there should be about a 5cm overlap (~2 inches for Americans) there are two pommel versions, a “clip” and “pin” version, if you are using a brittle filament then use the pin version and glue it on, but if you have a stronger filament like Pla+ then you can print the “clip” version and it will clip into the handle.(you can still glue it to be safe though)To assemble just slide the blades into each other and then into the handle and glue/clip on the pommel! (if you are using glue then I recommend doing it with the blades extended to prevent accidental gluing of the blades)for the handle supports are required unless you have the bed adhesion of a god, If you have decent adhesion then you can print it on the flat side (smaller) with normal or tree supports (I use tree but its up to you), but if you have poor bed adhesion I recommend printing it on the thick side with normal supports. If you have any questions then feel free to comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible!
