Collapsible Spool Holder
thingiverse
I have a trusty little Portabee Go as my go-to travel printer, but I've found that figuring out how to hold a spool in a hotel room is surprisingly tough. A while back, I designed this spool holder specifically for this problem, but it was heavy, bulky, and didn't quite work the way I had hoped. So I created this one, which works seamlessly even with big 1Kg spools. To assemble it, you'll need: - 8x M3 x 20 socket screws - 8x M3 square nuts Notes: - The four socket screws on the spindle don't have to be super tight - just enough to hold the spindle in place on both sides and at the base (or back them out by about 4mm). - The assembly is designed with a precise 0.15mm clearance between any two parts, so if your printer can't hit that mark, you'll need to sand down some of the parts. Enjoy!
