Collapsible Laptop Stand For Use with a Keyboard
myminifactory
This is a laptop stand designed for a 13" laptop (a Dell XPS 13, specifically). It is best used with an external keyboard, as it places the computer at a fairly steep angle. This is ideal for getting the monitor up closer to eye level. The stand prints in four parts without support. Once printed, the pieces slip together and can be easily taken back apart and reassembled. The STLs will need to be repositioned from the orientation in which they were saved (as they were saved in their orientation to each other). The side support needs to be printed twice, preferably one on one side and one on the other. The upper (rear) span will need to have the bottom face (with the holes) placed flat on the bed. The front span prints as oriented in the saved STL. This printed well in PLA on the Creality CR-6 SE. Note that the CR-6 has a print width of 235mm, and the horizontal spans came close to maxing that out. I used a .12mm layer height; there are overhangs and ramps on every part and I wanted the resolution to be decent and the fit tolerances to be correct. Some ramblings about the design of this stand can be found here. If you are interested in me remixing this to be smaller (for smaller printers) or have a shallower angle (for easier typing), drop a comment on that linked post.
