Collapsible Flute Stand
thingiverse
**Update** If you've printed this, please read this update right away! (if you haven't, it's still worth a read) For extra strength on the legs either 1. Print them straight up. 2. Use the new **hollow leg** and add a [metal insert] (190mm long x 3mm in diameter) for added support. --- #### The flute stand Did you ever want a flute stand that could fold up? Not really? Oh, you already had one made of metal? That's okay... my sister broke hers, so I built this one. This second version, which will be called the "rounded leg edition," has a slight wobble to it due to the legs being a bit too thin. However, through rigorous testing (me sitting at the table bending the legs back and forth), it seems to work just fine. Use it with confidence! If you want to push your 3D printing skills to the next level, print this model so that you have something more complex than usual (as there's a screw and three moving legs that fit inside). Lastly, I know nothing about flutes. The main shaft of this stand is 17mm across. If that fits inside your flute or piccolo, you should be all set. Don't forget to use felt so you don't scratch the inside of your instrument! (see below) --- #### Parts List * 1 Shell * 1 Base * 3 Legs * 3 Metal Rods (if using hollow legs, which I highly recommend) [metalInsert]: https://www.ebay.com/itm/10-Pcs-Stainless-Steel-200x3mm-Transmission-Round-Rod-T1-/252358228696?hash=item3ac1b8fad8
