Collapsible Altoids 3D Viewer

**REMEMBER TO USE CONVEX LENSES FOR THIS PROJECT TO WORK PROPERLY!** If the image appears blurry or distorted, adjust the model by shortening the arms to achieve a clearer view. If you lengthen them instead, that's okay, but be aware that excessively long arms may not fit inside the tin. The lenses I used had a focal point of approximately 12cm - hold it at this distance and check if the image is clear. If not, consider using a different lens or adjusting the arm lengths. **NEW UPDATE!** A modified design for lenses with a 5-6cm (2-2.5 inch) focal length is now available, complete with both arms and faceplate/base. This allows you to print the entire assembly at once! This simple collapsible 3D viewer fits perfectly inside an Altoids tin and requires only about one hour of printing time, depending on your settings. Use a 40% infill for optimal results. To view 3D images, simply print off the image you want, downscaled to 8cm wide and 4.8cm tall, and stick it to the base of the frame using sticky tac or another non-permanent adhesive. Assembly is easy - just snap the pieces together! Watch the videos below for a demonstration (and to see the orientation of the parts): https://youtu.be/xozZniV_aIc https://youtu.be/e-RquwnjZM4 When viewed through the lenses, you'll see three images in a row: one to the left, one in the center, and one to the right. Focus on the central image and you'll enjoy a stunning 3D view! (Unfortunately, there's no way to hide the side images without compromising the collapsibility of the design.) If you'd like to print your own custom image, use this template: https://dj505gaming.wordpress.com/image_template_for_viewer/. This template is already actual size, so simply paste your image overtop and print it out as-is. This project is free for anyone to use or modify, as long as you give credit and share a link to the original project in any modifications.
