Collapsable / Folding Dog Bowl
thingiverse
I designed a dog bowl that collapses (using TPU filament) to save room while carrying. There is a "simple" version which is just the bowl and more complicated version with an eyelet for hooking with a carabiner or hook (to hang it while it dries; includes the reinforcement ring to be printed from PLA), and a tab for grabbing to flip out the lip. I have a 25lb beagle, so this is the perfect size for her. But as well: I feel like this size is good middle ground between "large enough to hold *enough* water for a drink / multiple refills if needed" yet "small enough to not be annoying while carrying around". But, let me know if there is a need for a larger bowl and I can whip that up Both bowls require 11 or 12 fingers to collapse the bowl (haha), so I'll try to work on that fiddle factor over the next couple of days, but they're fiddly to collapse. Also, I don't know how food-safe any of the TPU materials are, so print / use the bowl at your own risk. Lastly, I've folded the bowls I've printed a few times now and they seem to be holding up, but not sure what the useful life of the circumferential hinge is... I haven't totally figured out supports in Cura yet, so everything is designed to not need supports. Both parts printed fine without them I'm printing using an Ender 3 Max (PLA) and an Ultimaker 3 (TPU)
