Collaborative Art Project: Bubbles on a Page
pinshape
I am more than just a bubble on a page! The purpose of this piece is to spark creativity and inspire action against an overemphasis on testing culture in schools. You are invited to download, remix, adapt, and express your feelings about standardized testing as well as showcase your unique identity through art. Please share your response as a clear and bright top-down photo in a public medium. Your creation doesn't have to be 3D printed; instead, post it here on Thingiverse as an "I Made One" or create a new thing citing this piece as the source, or leave instructions on how to find your publicly posted photo in the comments. Our short-term goal is to use these responses for a public PechaKucha performance about making in the classroom, where individual panels will be combined into a single photo collage. Initial submissions are due by February 7th, 2014. For more information about the PechaKucha event, visit my blog at designmaketeach.com/2014/02/03/collaborative-art-project-bubbles-on-a-page/. Reach out to me on Twitter @DesignMakeTeach or Facebook at Facebook.com/DesignMakeTeach to discuss 3D printing and learning through making with teachers, designers, and makers. The template was designed in iDraw as an SVG file and then imported and extruded in Tinkercad: https://tinkercad.com/things/13DB4FOcdca-notbubblesonapage-template/. Photo examples show a customized template with a student number using the Tinkercad Text script, accompanied by hand-drawn bubbles created with a 3Doodler.
