In ancient times, citrine was used as a talismanic rock to shield oneself from plague, various skin afflictions, and even malevolent thoughts, such as the evil eye. Moreover, it served as a catalyst for spells, some of which were indeed remarkable, like acting as an antidote for venomous snake bites.
