Coleman Pump Halkey Roberts (HR) Adapter
thingiverse
I bought my son a trampoline gymnastics air mattress for Christmas, and it didn't come with an inflation pump. I assumed I could use a standard nozzle to fill it up, but it actually had a clever inflation port that kept air from escaping after you remove the pump nozzle. After doing some research, I discovered that it is a Halkey Roberts valve, commonly used on surfboards. I found a compatible adapter on Thingiverse that would allow me to hook up a compressor (I have one, but this Air Track requires a relatively low PSI, and is too loud to use to inflate a Christmas gift without waking the kids up. I also found a Coleman pump nozzle that fits my model perfectly. So I took the two models, spliced them together, and added some extensions (the print I first made was so tight I could barely get it in and out of the HR valve, so the extensions help with leverage). I also moved the inner piece (that pushed the valve open) towards the front tabs, since on my Air Track, it was too far away and didn't push open the valve when it was latched on. I printed it out on my Anet A8 with supports. Be careful when removing the supports from the top tabs, as the first print I did I snapped off the latch when doing so. Also, the seal of hard plastic to hard plastic let air escape, so I made a makeshift gasket out of some rubber bands wrapped around the point where the two surfaces meet. It wasn't a perfect seal, but it will do until I can find a rubber washer with the right diameter to go around the valve.
