COLEMAN LAY-Z SPA PUMP IMPELLER REPLACEMENT
thingiverse
I recently inherited a used Coleman Lay-Z Spa, only to discover that every time I set it up, filled the tub, and tried to fire it up, I got an E02 warning. Research indicated a problem with water flow, so I attempted all troubleshooting techniques but knew it had to be something with the pump. I promptly took everything apart, found the pump underneath, pulled out the magnetic impeller, and discovered that the old covering around the magnet had cracked. I then thought to myself...self, you should be able to repair this plastic casing by designing a new cover for the magnet. So I did, but after pressing the new cover over the magnet, my assembly was too long or I hadn't pressed the magnet fully in. I measured the face-to-face distance of the pump insides and found it to be roughly 2.25 inches. I redesigned the impeller to be 1/4 inch shorter in order to fit. If you're experiencing similar issues with this system, give this a try. I printed the parts with 100% infill using NGEN material. Make sure to disconnect the power to the pump and hot tub before attempting this fix, as you'll need to flip the unit around to access the pump on the bottom side.
