Coleman Jumbo Gas Lantern

Coleman Jumbo Gas Lantern

This is a printable model of a Coleman Jumbo Gas Lantern from the 1920's, specifically designed for easier printing by omitting many fine details. The original design was created using rough measurements in inches to the nearest 1/16th of an inch, but not scaled down or converted to metric when exported. As a result, you will need to scale the model to accommodate slicers that are based on metric units. Keep in mind that printing this model at full size (scaled 2540%) would result in a very large lantern, measuring over 8.5 inches in diameter and 20 inches tall. I intend to print it at a much smaller size, which is another reason I left out many fine details. Because this is a stationary, non-functional model, I chose to print it with only 10% infill to conserve filament. Supports were added due to the several 90-degree overhangs and the pump extending up and out from the fount. While I personally prefer printing everything with a raft, I'm confident that this model could be printed straight to the bed without any issues. I'm currently working on an updated version of the design, which includes changes to the valve to make it more accurate while still allowing for easy removal of supports without damaging anything. This may lead to making the valve and pump separate pieces.
