Coleman cooler drain plug
thingiverse
The plug on my Coleman chest cooler broke, and the few that I found on Thingiverse didn't fit my cooler, so I made one to replace it. It snaps over the cooler drain nipple quite firmly, and you can add a rubber o-ring for an even tighter seal. I designed it in OpenSCAD with variables that you can easily adjust if your cooler's nipple has different dimensions, or if you just want to tweak the fit. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Select Mini Rafts: Not necessary Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: Walls are 0.8mm thick Post-Printing The o-rings seal the deal. The plug is a snug fit without the o-ring, but adding one makes all the difference. A leak test showed a slow drip when the cooler was half-full of water, so I added this o-ring and the leak stopped. You can find these o-rings at your local mega-hardware store for about $2.50 per 10-pack.
