Coleman Above Ground Pool Angled Return Diverter
myminifactory
The return hose on our Coleman 14' x 42" above ground pool blasts a stream straight into the center of the pool. Any pool this size really needs the return flow diverted to one side, away from the inlet, so that the water creates a swirling vortex. Of course, the weak pumps they provide with these pools can't handle it, but what if you replace that with a more powerful (1.5hp; 4500 gal/hr) pump and a sand filter? You really want that water spinning out of control. The Coleman doesn't have removable hose connectors like the Intex pools, so I needed an innovative solution. This unique-looking device fits into the return port from the outside. The rim stops it from being pushed all the way through. The hose slips over it and onto the coupler. The clamp not only holds the hose in place but also keeps this diverter where you put it. Angle the opening to one side away from the inlet, slightly downward for optimal results. The water will be shot out at an angle, and the slightly smaller opening will increase the water pressure coming out.
