I've got a set of Coleman jaws that came with some rubber stoppers designed to keep bowls or other items securely in place while turning. Unfortunately, this wasn't always the case. I attempted to use them for woodworking, but it's challenging to replicate identical parts, so I ended up with this alternative model. The steep angle helps keep things firmly in place, but the plastic can still cause scratches on the wood, so some kind of protective barrier between the knobs and the wood might be a worthwhile consideration.
