Visual identification of the potential issue involves inspecting a tapered container with an orange plastic wiper mechanism within it. Upon contacting Salton, I received complimentary replacement clips; however, if the materials are identical to those used in the original components, their longevity is likely to be short-lived. I manufactured replacement clips from PLA material, achieving 100% infill and securing them using screws (three clips were required). This modification significantly enhances the container's stability, possibly due to a slightly revised design that introduces added friction. The primary benefit lies in their ability to maintain solidity over time, potentially even surpassing the performance of original factory components. This DIY solution may prove invaluable for those seeking a reliable alternative to faulty clips.
