Cold and Dirty bed leveling script with Gauge
thingiverse
If your printer lacks a bed leveling sensor and you're concerned that running a standard bed leveling script will crash the nozzle into the bed, this procedure may be of use.\r\n\r\nTo perform a quick and safe bed level using a 1mm spacer gauge, run the provided G-code script. Once the bed is roughly adjusted, heat it up along with the nozzle and then do a final bed level check using one of many available scripts.\r\n\r\nThe 1mm gauge height may vary based on your printer's calibration settings; however, this discrepancy won't significantly affect the outcome as this procedure serves only as a quick pre-calibration test.\r\n\r\nBefore starting, give both the top and bottom surfaces a quick sand to ensure they're free of any print residue or artifacts.\r\n\r\n**Note:** This script does not produce any test pattern; instead, it carefully moves the print head to each corner while maintaining a 1mm gap above the set Z Homing position.
