The blank file serves as a template for a coin of 1-inch diameter and .063-inch thickness. Design elements are intended for both sides of the die, which are meant to be crafted from steel. These dies will be used in conjunction with aluminum blanks, although alternative materials such as wax or clay can also be stamped using a plastic mechanism.
