Coin Sorter

Coin Sorter

This coin sorter was inspired by a cardboard one I found online by Mini Gear on YouTube. The gear box used in this project is the Sbrunel design, available at www.thingiverse.com/thing:340727, and I also utilized the coin counters created by jfn302, which can be accessed at www.thingiverse.com/thing:2460653. I designed this device with a hand crank because I prefer to use 3D printed parts whenever possible; however, it could easily be modified to accommodate a motor. To assemble the components, I used Super Glue. The coin counters can hold one roll of coins each when filled to the lower edge. If you don't need to count your coins, simply omit them and allow the coins to fall into the drawer. You can see this device in action by visiting https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asL2RjDYCPA. Due to some tight tolerances, you may require a file or a little sandpaper for assembly. I have also created alternate files for the grabber base and sorter base that break them down into flat components requiring glue to assemble; these may be more suitable for smaller print beds.
